Alright so, I got my first DDOS attack today. Thought it'd happen sooner. But anyways...just wanted to say that I made this server for people to enjoy and have fun in, and that crashing the server is doing no harm to me, but to those that played it. So..have fun pissing those people off. Anyways, we will get anti-DDOS soon enough...to those that care. 

EDIT: problem has now been resolved.

Agreed. Also it is really expensive and hard to find a good cheap one. If you ever do you should inbox me what one.

Hm i don't understand this "certain people feel you have stolen players" did Hiuru jump on their server and threaten them to join his? doubt it! it's the players choice who's server they want to play

Wonder how long this DDOS attack will last. I've got the patience in me to wait it out. Hope others do as well.

I could see why other servers would be jealous, because honestly Aureus Online is a good server and it has good developers working to make it an amazing server, and honestly i find it stupid that people have to DDOS AU because they're jealous faggots because i already pretty much know who did it most likely as it's obvious if you think about it :P, but hey let the DDOSer feel cool for trying to make a server fail by DDOS attacks, I honestly don't understand why people would want to DDOS them either i don't see what they have done wrong.. They made a cool server that people love.

Yea I think the DDOS'ers are just jealous that AO got like 30+ players on day 1 lol. I tried your server out, very impressive. Not sure if my server will be any match for yours when it's done but might as well try you never know.

But yea, I don't know why people can't just leave the servers alone...all that's really happening when people ddos servers is more and more people getting frustrated and eventually they will just drop all eo based servers.

Kinda comes with the territory Simen, I have endured so many attacks in my bu life it's unreal, best solution is get a vps and close the UDP ports on the network to prevent UDP flood. Best of luck. Personally i enjoy seeing more decent servers arrive on the sln, i know zero and yourself have worked a long time on this project.

It's just a game. We'll all live. Sorry this happend right after you released a new version for us though, Simen. Hope it doesn't discourage you. The reason they feel threatend is because it's something fresh, something new, that's actually well balanced. Reborns are lazy and really unmotivating for new players, just saying. I'll be back when these kids are finished, as i'm sure most will. So don't worry about it as there's other productive things to do in the mean time while these kids have their fun. Lets just hope you can stop it in the future. :)
