Re: Eosource
EOSource is a full backdoor'ed EOSERV revision with a lot of CTRL+C and CTRL+V of feautes posted here on the forum. It is closed source because they want to hide their backdoor's. Also, don't forget to use a random password on EOSource servers, else, you will lost any account with the same
password (the coders can see your pass :O).

If you don't have any idea about what you're talking about, then don't even post anything please.
EOSource is mainly for people who are inexperienced with coding. It's an easier way to create a private server, for those people who don't know how to code very well. Nobody has been backdoored by it. If you know how to code then EOServ is probably the better choice, but if you're new and don't
really know what you're doing, you can add in a ton of cool features without knowing how to code with EOSource. That's really all it comes down to.
I don't know or really care who stole what code or whatever, or how EOSource was made and all that junk. It is what it is, it's not like they're doing any harm to EOServ.
Edit: They have however coded something in so that Hollow and Elevations get HGM on your server. Not really sure what's up with that... don't really agree with it either. But it's for "Security Purposes" I suppose. ---

Re: Eosource
First of all is it that hard to read the main website it plainly tells you what it is.
EO stands for "Endless Online"
EOSource is home to all EO related things such as EO Private Servers & EO Clients and more.
@Sausage It is quite ignorant to believe we only added the icons after you did. The idea of having icons next to links is not new sausage.
@Klutz The design of the website is fitting and simple, it's not exactly the same as eoserv and is more yellow looking if anything.
The community of eoserv needs to stop being hypocrites, You say EOSource has backdoors but then it turns out half of you are using eosource so if it's so bad stop using it then.
And there is no backdoors to date, the last backdoor we announced was the one that made me and hollow admins on servers which has been removed since a few versions ago. There is no password filtering or logging of any kind since EOSource v.1 which was then removed in EOSource v.2.2 which i might
add that the backdoor was unintentional whether you like to believe it or not. Eosource is now running on the latest EOSERV revision with many bonus features and small fixes and we are on EOSource version 5.2 and plan to continue updating until it becomes the #1 tool for EO server emulation.
In other words, EOSource provides all the little "hack-in" features (All optional) that the community wants but what sausage refuses to add to his revisions by default.
Such as pets, fishing, mining, potion buffs, extra little quest features, and more. For a full list of the features you can view them here.
The EOSource Server has had some great success in creating great servers with many players, Such as New Worlds, Aureus Online, Sanctum of Beasts. All it takes is someone with the right amount of time to use the server software to it's full potential.
But as i said before if you don't trust it, stop using it, and for the people that are using it stop calling it backdoor infested.

Re: Eosource
I think you should respect that EOSERV was intended to emulate EOMain as close as possible, minus anything that could result in legal disputes.

Don't mind him then.
@Legendary, People can say whatever they want, but it's safe to use. Otherwise no one did use it anyway. I can hardly blame you for hesitating though, as there are many retards such as Doug with prejudices.

Sorry, my eyes went directly to "#1 tool". Ele, the site is kind of b.s. though. "Yellowish tint"?. I can just go to eoserv.net/forum, printscreen, go into word and put a yellow highlight over it. Agreeing that the websites are way too similar. ---

Re: Eosource
Here is a possible update for eosource:
Separate the stuff from the config.ini there is to much stuff in one thing. EOSERV is more neat i would say.

I highly dislike how the latest eoserv revisions have sorted the configs. It's much harder to find stuff. Also you don't require an update for that. You can easily do that yourself.
