Also, Apollo brings up a very good point. All these new servers are worried about custom graphics, new pixels, all this shit that's unnecessary. If you have a good storyline and plenty of things to do for the player, then that is enough to have a successful server. Endless Edge being an example of this. Get your basics up and running first, then worry about the flashy details.

You guys make a very good point. I am sorry for my irrelevance on this topic. However, do you guys really enjoy swearing? There's no need for such uncalled hatred. Just like this website. MOST of these eoserv topics have at least 1 argument in it. Can't you guys embrace yourself in a positive way? When I ask for help on port forwarding, I was hoping for a positive response. And then people became angered by the fact that there is a search bar we can use. Yes there was this one post when I said "USE THE SEARCH BAR." I noticed that I was "overdoing" it. This post might be useless; I can't get a single person to agree with me.

By the way, the reason why I'm on eoserv so actively is because I have no school for the rest of the week. I've been bored out.  

You guys seem so angered at my post. You -1 me because of my opinion. Yes, for most of you, I am wrong. That is TOTALLY fine but stop swearing... Get a LIFE!

Anyways on topic, no they don't and should not give up. Not only is it a learning experience for other game servers, such as RO/MU ect but its also a good way to pass some free time.. What would you rather have them do?? Watch TV/look at porn/jerk off? At least building a server they expand some sort of knowledge such as art/coding/story writing ect. Don't get me wrong I've had the same thought and posted it on here many times as my old account, but I've come to realize you can't tell others to give up on something they are interested in.. Will setting up a private server make them millions of dollars?? No.. Not at all.. Will they become big time game "creators".. Yeah probably not.. But to crush someones dreams is like stepping on a puppy.. Sure you might think its funny or a good idea at first but the memory of doing so will haunt you.. (Maybe not the same as stepping on a puppy... but seemed good at the time).

So with this I'll post a picture too.

Kultz I am must say you are too true, even Apollo said is greatly. It doesn't matter how many players play it, the thing that matters is are you proud of it? If you are then never let it go for any silly stuff. "Worlds Apart" is the best example I can give, hardly many people play it! It has been running like one year now and still being developed unlike others giving up too easily just because no one plays your server. There are many programmers in here who enjoy creating codes in EOSERV and even share it as it will be fun and all server could have that feature.
