| ![]() It's a denial-of-service attack. http://www.iplocation.net/tools/denial-of-service.php That has a lot of info of what it actually is. People usually do it to EO servers, particularly popular servers. Why? I don't know, maybe because they want to have more players on their server. Or jealous they have more players than others. Or they do it for the laughs. --- Don't worry, be happy.-Bobby McFerrin

| ![]() You could possibly Google it. But this is what DoS is, Denial-of-service. A DDoS is, Distributed Denial-of-service. An attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the efforts of one or more people to temporarily or indefinitely interrupt or suspend services of a host connected to the Internet. Perpetrators of DoS attacks typically target sites or services hosted on high-profile web servers. There are different sorts of methods to this. ICMP flood, SYN flood, Teardrop attacks, Low-rate Denial-of-Service attacks, Peer-to-peer attacks,Asymmetry of resource utilization in starvation attacks, Application-level floods, Nuke, R-U-Dead-Yet?, Distributed attack, Reflected / Spoofed attack, Denial-of-Service Level II. I won't explain them. That is what Wiki is for. As someone once told me people do if for revenge, for laughs, because they are bored, and so on. --- All heads are bowed in silence To remember her last sentence She answered him knowing what would happen Her last words still hanging in the air
