Sorry for this post again but I got this. http://i45.tinypic.com/2wnw84p.jpg What exactly does tht mean? Am i going to use 60gbs? Nvm bout tht but MySql crashes during the server instance configuration wizard thingy

Looks to me like that completion bar shows how much hard drive space you have used vs how much that is free.

kk thanks but the last part when installing mysql, it says (not responding)

You might ask for help from their developmental forum or try a different build of MySql.

now it says could not start service on the configuration execute part.

Go to the Run on your start menu and type: services.msc Check to see if MySql is listed more than once. If so, install all installations and start over with a clean install. If you feel really pro you can always disable the other service, but judging from your experience with PC's I recommend uninstalling first.
