well idk if u heard but in the usa theres gonna be a huge hurricane hitting the new england area where i live.

ppl r stocking up on generators, bording up there homes, ect. the winds r sopossed to be 75 mph winds, which sucks because my trampoleens going to fly away =/ <--im not kidding its happened twice before flew ove a fence and into the next door neighbors yard =/

any thoughts on this hurricane? are u guys worried? are u taking any precautions?

i got my candles and flashlights xD

My friend that lives in new york was talking about it. She basically said everyone is freaking out for nothing and its not even going to be bad. That is basically all I heard and all I have to say is have fun with no power.

Me and my family haven't really taken precautions for this, but i assume it wont be as bad as it seems.

I live in Pennsylvania, but i don't see this storm as bad as the past hurricanes.

woah, i saw some documentaries about hurricanes, glad they arent where i live, you got  basement? you could hide there if it strikes your town :(

Although if it's as powerful as it sounds like, you may survive but will lose your house anyway. Such coincidence I just heard about this in the news 10min ago. There are no hurricanes in my country though.

Honestly if the winds are only going to be 75 mph then you shouldn't have many problems at all. We stayed through Ivan and Katrina and nothing happened to our house except for one of our back windows got broken from a falling tree branch.

Everyone's making it out to be some terrible thing. I live in Connecticut, and already everyone is freaking out about it. Went to get gas yesterday, and the gas station was out.. hahaa.. but chances are we'll be without power for some time. Shouldn't be as bad as Ivan though, considering all the local governments are actually preparing this time.

I'll let you know how it turns out after it hits.

Edit: The reason this one was supposed to be so bad is because it's mixing with two winter storm systems as it hits Connecticut. Which means not only rain and wind, but also winter precipitation, such as maybe hail/sleet/snow.

Guess ill put my input into this thread before my power gets shut off. I live in New York and its coming straight for where I live. Irene about this time last year, just passed us and it did some damage.. So this is expected to get pretty bad. With up to 85MPH wind gusts and a steady 40-50mph winds, and the waves are supposed to be 15-25 feet. As of right now the wind isnt that bad and the waves are about 12 feet. It is said to be the perfect storm, to have happened in New York since 1992. So its going to be pretty crazy when it hits tomorrow.

This is also going to hit Niagara falls Canada where I live at 80mph around Monday night.
