Why question? If you must know I felt there was room for intelligent, mature discussion after I replied. I might have been wrong.

This was a valid question and a valid answer was given that can be useful to the eoserv.net community as a whole should they use phpBB for their servers and need a good way to counter spambots from flooding their forums. Pasta, replying with a troll or "google" is just as useless and idiotic.

I agree that it is a valid question, although it may in a way go against the advertisement rule in a way, even if it is for EE, an admin's private server. But I also do agree with Pasta in a way because it really isn't necessary to go on the eoserv forum asking for an answer to a question on a
private server's forum that can easily be answered by doing a little bit of research on, lets say, google maybe? Because I found it in less than a minute. ---

The question I gathered was merely "wtf is up with EE forums questions?" If you are not familiar with EO's Innkeepers the questions are not obvious. This is why spambots can't easily create accounts as most advertising bots target general ways to get around creating internet accounts. General discussion and information about any server has always been allowed should it not get out of hand. As far as advertising EE, I am pretty sure the entire eoserv.net community is aware of its existence and I do not feel it needs any further advertisement as it would only be redundant here.

I'd also like to point out that I didn't make my avatar myself. I know it's not great, but its meaningful to me.
At least I'm not the only one who thinks that this shouldn't be posted here.
@Chillrax Thanks for clearing that up. I know you got my back :) ---

The question I gathered was "wtf is up with EE forums questions? I can't make an account because I don't know the answer to them." Which could be easily solved by looking them up in a search engine such as google, I'm sure he didn't care why they were there as much as the fact that he didn't know
how to answer them. And yes I am also pretty sure the eoserv community knows of EE's existence along with a shit load of other private servers. I'm willing to bet that if this topic was about a less popular private server, no one would give two shits about it and it would either be locked or
deleted because of the advertisement rule. ---

It might have been advertising had that been explicity implied to legitimately draw traffic to EE, however that was not the case. As far as other generalized server discussion goes like "how do I do something X server is doing?" or other information that merits general off-topic lounge discussion there should be no problem having the topic locked unless it turns into a total troll/flame war. If you need further insight you can always ask Sausage's opinion.

Honestly, if you think I have something against EE, I can assure you I don't, as I don't play private servers or Endless Online anymore. All I was doing was stating my opinion from knowledge and past experiences, because most of the time these kind of things do turn into flame wars considering it's
about a private server, but I don't care what you do with this topic, I was just defending the fact that Pasta's statement wasn't completely invalid, or as you said " useless and idiotic."---

I don't care of what your views on private servers are. More accurately you are questioning my judgement in allowing the topic. Pasta's post can fall under rules 1.2 and 1.3 to be specific (at some point Sausage had removed his sarcastic "don't reply use Google"). In any case, the question was answered and the flow of the topic is going astray. If you feel you have anything reasonable to add other than expressing why the kid didn't use Google when I am sure searching "Endless Edge forum registration answers" might not return anything since I added that as of yesterday, please feel free to comment. If there is no further discussion here I will be happy to lock this.
