Moonie, install "Malwarebytes personal" like he said. Update it, and run a quick scan.

She could even use clamwin its portable so it would be easier to use no installation.

This same thing happened to me. Like the people before me said re install windows and then back up your computer just to be safe.

What you need is Malware, Get that and if you cant go into your internet cause it shut off all the programs, you must shut down your computer and turn it back on. Then spam f8 or F3 and it will bring you to a menu. Go in to your computer with safe mode, then use the malware to clean your comp...

Try these steps:

1.Download MalwareBytes and do a full scan.

2.Download ESET Online Anti-Virus scanner.

3.Download Kaspersky TDSSKiller and do a scan(in case you may have rootkit)

4.Download ComboFix and do a scan.

Try these steps and you good to go

Using all the name brand antivrus prorams is not the smartest thing to do. Who do hackers target :D or just dont look at unrated porn and wabaMN!! good 2 GO.

just take it to a computer shop rather then downloading random programs that probably won't do shit.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. Didn't see the thread right away, but your computer should have came with system restore cds or a program on the computer itself that you should of hit up immediately.

Also, updated my computer help topic since the error picked back up. (Sorry for offtopic here, can't bump it.)

It's as simple as she needs to use a portable scanner (if she cant install anything) and get the "name" of the virus which could easily lead to a solution but I understand a lot of you rather have some one else fix the problems rather then learning how to.

If you don't care about losing your files, format your whole hard drive (Using a Windows Installation DVD/USB) and then install windows. Guaranteed success.

It's not always guarnteed sometimes if the virus acting like bitch it will not deleted esaily, not all problems get solved by reinstalling windows
