 Open chest from a distance
I once read about a hack that would let you open a chest while not being near it.
Does anyone know where I could find this?

Best I can say is to manipulate the packet sent to server that opens chest. Still the server side should know the players x y position. ---

Am I missing something here? The server side probably checks your distance from the chest thus making it impossible... ---

Queen just said Sausage found a way to open the chest, but not pick the item.

Not sure if you can take items or not but I do think your x y has to be current for the server to even consider it.
The trouble now is editing that packet to update the proper bytes with the current information. If it isn't that then perhaps it has something to do with encryption.
In other words the packet you sent to server contained a certain x and y when you checked the chest. You need to update these x and y to be relevant with your character's.
