Some jerk is DDoSing our server and I need it to stop. No one, including me, can connect, and idk how to make it stop. Any help is appreciated.

Well if you're on the internet he most likely is just UDP flooding you :P

I forget how but somehow you can make it where they cant attack you try looking around the forum, its on here somewhere

You have to close your UDP ports if i remember correctly.

Basically everyone who has owned a server has dealt with this.... You have a few options;

• Buy a VPS that has DDoS protection, these range from $300-1000+, which seems a bit much if your live server doesn't have more than 30 or 40 people.

• Try to get the person's IP, and call their Internet Service Provider to help you out with this person.

Otherwise, you're out of luck. People that DDoS never just stop unless they get what they want. (e.g. Adminship, or other wants... or if they just want you offline forever.)

EDIT: Or just do what everyone above me said to do.

If he's using my UDP Flooder than the easiest way to stop it is by just closing your UDP ports..

You can also flush your DNS but i don't think that'll do much..

cmd > ipconfig flushdns

Can I firewall his IP if he is behind a proxy? Or will it only work until he changes the proxy again?

A proxy hides your real IP therefor you can block the proxy ip but as mitch said if hes using a proxy he will most likely just keep changing it so you will have to continue blocking all the IPs he use's :P so only other way is to contact his ISP

 there no way to stop a ddos attack unless he is using hermit crap ddosing tool. cause he is using his own ip. and for vps pr vpn they just create muti layer networks. that filters packets which the price is high to pay if u just wanna host your little game.
