No. he reason I said no is because there's nothing more simple than setting up a server. You download eoserv 6.1 and copy n paste EO's maps + pubs then simply run it. If people can't actually do something like that they're not worth having a server.

I think you should. I know there is one out there on youtube, but it is really outdated. I am sure people would appreciate it. Still reading a tutorial is easier to learn, but some people are just to lazy to read.

oh please do!! i wanted to make a server at one point...but then i realized i have no coding experience what so ever LOL

it'd still be fun just to have and fuck around on, maybe put in the 'army tee' armor i made that never got used.

I doubt he has any experience either, You should go to downloads then download EOSERV 0.6.1 which is a precompiled revision so you don't need any experience at all. You simply created or use EO maps and place them into the maps folder, and do the same for pubs and run your server. EOSERV will automaticly create a database, and you're ready to login. Just make sure that you portforward your router.

@Hollow If You Can Find Me A Youtube Video On How To Set Up A Server AND Portforward it in the past month ill be happy to listen to you.

It's simple, you download EOSERV 0.6.1, just move the maps in there and run the ''EOSERV.exe'' file, just as how you run a browser or start MSN.
@Crime, you don't need tutorials for such easy things. (Although that's my opinion really >.<) Just use wildsurvival's portforward application. And yes I've seen a couple server creation guides in the past.

EDIT: I just watched the tutorial and I don't think your portforwarding part will be any help @ all as all routers are really different.

No one wants to blow your whistle... sheesh.

Here's a good question for you on this. ;3 if portforwarding is unusable such as (mobile broadband to a router) the router is portforwarded. But the mobile broadband isp blocks all ports (and yes this is a unlimited home connection that uses a antenna then connects to a tower and goes through.) So what options are to get around this? Of course I would of had a eoserv server by now if I could figure out how to get around this. x)

YEah the guide you posted i actually found before, the thing that confuses me is this talk about the ''Trunk'' folder. that is non existent in my directory
