The lack of a start menu is my only major problem with it. When I hit the windows key, I DON'T want their bloated start screen popping up every time. Also the fact that it's designed for tablets is an issue for me - corners are useless when using a
mouse. For those of us with desktops that won't be using the touch interface, it will be difficult to get used to. I tried it out (single monitor) back in January and it was a pain getting to the shut down button
because I had to flick the mouse into the corner just to get to that menu. I also have 3 monitors now, with the center monitor as my main. Am I correct in assuming I will have to flick my mouse all the way to the outer corners in order to turn my computer
off?
My favorite metro app is definitely Remote Desktop. They added support for multiple sessions and cleaned it up a lot. I was quite impressed by it.
I don't understand Microsoft's targeting of the tablet market with Windows 8. Serious computer users and gamers, which represent a LOT of Window's current market, own desktops. Not laptops, not tablets. I'll be interested to see how well it does after release and what improvements they've made
over the past 7 months or so.
I had a issue with the menu at 1st too but then realized win gadgets still work on win8 .. I just downloaded a shut down/log out/hibernate gadget that added the shut down function to my desktop. ---

I partitioned my drives or w.e and installed windows 8 on it and couldn't boot it. The next day my windows 7 partition was corrupted and unable to start. Google it and apparently this is a super common. -.- stupid windows 8. I still don't think this will be any good for anything without a touch
screen. Native html5 is cool but it's only in the metro UI?

I do not have any problems with dual booting, but I have SSD for W7 and a SSD for W8, two different drives. Haven't never dual booted anything from same drive. I even have Ubuntu on my pendrive, but that's totally a different thing.

I was able to dual boot with Win7 and Win8 and I had no problems. I deleted the Win8 partition when I didn't use it anymore and it was as easy as that. ---

I'm not saying that Win8 is a bad upgrade. Sure, newer is better, but that's not always the case. I'm sure there is bugs and glitches. Just like what Vista had. Personally, it doesn't really matter to me if I would switch to Win8. My Windows phone uses the kind of layout Win8 uses. It's not all
that bad. ---
