Sausage, you should seriously consider adding a spoiler button...

It'd be so useful for when we post big images and what not..

Just because the idea can be potential troll bait doesn't mean it should be put down. Pretty much any feature including copy-paste is troll bait. Doesn't make a damn difference. 
This is a good idea, spoiler function on forums doesn't necessarily have to cover *spoilers*, I've seen it used a whole bunch of times to tidy up very long and detailed posts. The Minecraft modding forum threads often have these for images, videos, FAQ's, compatibility issues and the rest.  Sometimes you don't want to see the images, you just want to skip to the post. Sometimes you ONLY want to see the images and don't want to read a wall of text. Think.

Edit: It would also be very easy and quick to add as a feature. A bit of CSS display:hidden; and whatnot. Not hard.
