Post #161119 Is this spec good? (PC)

Decided to buy a computer for my bedroom and got this pretty cheap here are the specs:

  • Quadcore Q8200 2.34 ghz x4 processor
  • 640 gb sata hard drive
  • 4.0 gb  ram
  • Geforce 7100gs graphics
  • hdmi output
  • 4 usb ports rear
  • 9 in 1 card reader
  • 2 usb ports front
  • dvdrw  rewriter
  • windows 7  preinstalled, actiavted and ready to use
  • msn,messenger live,adobe,adobe flash, preinstalled

Do you think this is a decent spec? Mainly going to use it for video edits.

The real question is how much did you spend on it?

Well not really, but that is a huge part when buying a computer. Also that computer is good for video editing and I would of went for a mac since they have better video editing softwares.

That is a pretty good price. Well not sure about there, but converted to can it would be 220$. The only complaint I have is the graphics card is a piece of shit, but that can easily be upgraded.

I'll be using it for general use and video editting so at the moment the graphics card will have to do. I tried to edit a video using my laptop and it couldn't handle it and kept shutting down lol

Also thanks for your info/help

Well if you are video editing and have a high budget I would suggest After effects for final editing and sony vegas for main editing and if you have a higher budget and use youtube I would suggest getting camtasia for uploading the video. Its pretty much waste of money if you are on a tight budget, but if you have money to throw around than I would just use it to upload.

That's really good for the price. I'd suggest more RAM for video editing but if you're on a budget, well done.
