Are you using the EO Client for this project or a Own Built Client?


Just wondering because it won't really have that Pokemon feel if you kill pokemon with weapons lol.


I'd like to hear what features you'd be planning to have.

This will be Made on its Own Client.
Features
  •  Able to PVP Players with Pokemon
  • Standard Pokemon like Features
  • Flying will be like Surfing(You will actually get to move around the Playable Area)
  • Trading ect.

Misca: Would you like to be the Mapper of this Project?
If so im going to build a mapping program for the client.

Well the Game engine im going to use is World Engine 2(GameMaker), it has a Stable Multiplayer, Though i will have to code all the Movement..Speaking of Which should it be 4 Directional like EO or 8 Directional? and Snap to Grid or Free to Move? anyways back on the engine, it will most likely not be open source.. :/, I'm not Positive yet or not..

Anyways im working on the Engine Now. :)

Sure I can be the mapper for it, got nothing better to do other than WoW.
And what I meant is, when you walk in the grass in pokemon it moves around so it seems like the grass is moving with the player.

Edit: And I can make maps based of Heartgold or original Kanto games. Minor differences but basically the same.

Would prefer WASD 4 directional but I'm sure you could add in an option to turn 8 directional on or off.

I will as soon as its ready, right now im using game makers built in editor to build the maps but i will make the game load custom map files soon and then you will be able to build them :), but im going to be away for an hour or so when i get back i will start the editor...and Which ever you Prefer(To pull from)

Thanks for the Find, but i think this game is only going to use the 151 original Pokemon.

@Misca and anyone Else that might want to map.

I have Almost finished the Editor but i need to work on the camera and Save and Loading Maps, once i have that were done with the Editor :)
