Super fast computer :)
Hi, 6 days ago, I digged out my 1 year old desktop computer from garage, I ordered new processor and new graphics card.
These two:
Intel Core i7-3770 Processor Socket-LGA1155, Quad Core, 3,4Ghz, 8MB, Boxed w/fan.
Gainward GeForce GTX 680 2GB PhysX CUDA PCI-Express 3.0, GDDR5, DVI-D+DVI-I, native-HDMI, DisplayPort.
It has 8 GB of ram, and it's on Windows XP.. Yes I like Windows XP :)
Here's a picture of only Google Chrome installed LOL.

For testing purposes.

Re: Super fast computer :)
You might want to upgrade to 64bit windows 7 or see if your OS supports all that ram, because if I remember correctly xp
only supports 3gbs of ram.

As much as I love windows 7, it's just like Vista when running programs. Always asking for administrator permission even though you are the administrator..
But, yeah, Win 7 or 8 is the way to go. Windows 8 makes me feel a little uncomfortable, but is great and simple for running games and stuff.
Edit: On steam?

Does the mobo even support a 1155 socket or PCI-E 3?

Odd.. A year ago the 1155 was just starting to be used for things other then Xeon based servers, and PCI 3 was newish, doesn't make much sense why you had bought a brand new computer with a semi-top of the line motherboard for it's time and placed it in the garage o_O
Whatever floats your boat I guess, xP

Awesome specs, awesome OS. I applaud you brother.
I also recommend everyone steer clear from Windows 8. It's AIDS on a Hard Disk.
