I just had my plan upgraded from $50/month for 200min, unlimited text, 500mb of data to $60/month for unlimited everything to 10 numbers, unlimited text, 200min, 6gb of data and 10hours free of mobile tv.

That's on Bell in canada though, and thats alot for 60 bucks here.

Well when I first got my iPhone I was hyped like fuck but as it goes for everyone else it gets boring overtime.. I would suggest a iPhone when it reaches a reasonable price or a Samsung S series.

Well, I had an Iphone, and switched to a Samsung Galaxy S2, my new phone dies a hell of a lot faster, and is less convenient :/ The Iphone is a lot more simple and has everything setup easier. When the Iphone 5 releases, I will definitely be switching.

It's all opinion based though, and which phone is more convenient for your needs and what you want.

I Phones are way to expensive if you a student like me and paying your own phone bills, also the phones are so expensive here 650$ for a 4S with $50-60 to pay per month. I'm starting to become a fan of HTC phones the new HTC Radar looks sexy I love phones in white.

I still don't understand why people need phones with all the crap they come with now. I have a life and I only go through 30 minutes a month on a prepaid phone.

When you have one that does everything, you know why people like them. I do my banking, check email, surf the web, play games on break at work, my camera(I take alot of pictures all the time). It's really handy being able to do all that, on something thats smaller than my TV remote lol.

@Doomer: I had a 9800 for a year, it was nice but lacked specs so was pretty laggy. I wanted a 9810 but ended up with an HTC Raider.
Yeah, and you managed to survive without all those things. So why do you need it now?

Why not? It's convenient.

And people wonder why future generations are becoming obese. Laziness.  Convenience often = Laziness.
You expect me to fly 2100 miles just to talk to an overseas friend? Psshh..

Get an 8/16gb iPhone 4, they're like 200-350, depending on where you get it, Craigslist being the cheapest. Update it to iOS 5.1.1 and jailbreak it with Absinthe, then unlock it with the Ultrasnow method (free) and connect it to MetroPCS.

Idk if Metro is CDMA or GMS so the iPhone you get would be whichever Metro supports, my guess is CDMA like Verizon.

I wouldn't risk Jail breaking and IPhone. I jail broke my Ipod but I would never do it to my IPhone.

I actually switched back to Sprint on a family plan which is $40/month - cheaper than metro, and I'm getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
I can do just about everything a jailbroken Iphone can do and more, when I root it.

Your grammar is killing me...
Why not? With how it all works using Cydia and SSH to control the system a jailbreak trigger is never set off, even if you broke it you could revert it to a stock iOS and take it back to apple. Beyond that it doesn't open any security holes as long as you change the root user's password. If you're stupid enough to leave the login as Root:alpine then you deserve what is coming to you. Jailbroke my iPhone, iPod Touch, girlfriend's iPod touch (which I've had Apple replace twice, AppleCare is amazing), iPad 2, and Dad's iPad 1, and have never looked back.

Rooting an android device? Now that's not smart. Download the wrong app and your entire contact list, messages archive, and passbook are on a server in Zimbabwe... Beyond that Android apps  have the ability to control the hardware more preciously, in turn you could download an app that overclocks the GPU, CPU or radio processor ultimately burning them out. I had an old HTC Fuze, it ran windows mobile 6.5 originally. I had to running Android 2.2(?) back when it was new. After a while the CPU crapped out because I had rooted the OS and downloaded a package of free games that OC'd the processor (unintentionally at that).

I live by my iProducts, but I guess I'm ultimately an "Apple Fanboy", just as well as an "Intel Fanboy, nVidia Fanboy, and EVGA/ASUS Fanboy". I just like good shit ;)

I've had so much trouble with Apple's customer service, it's not even funny.
So I've decided to switch to android to see how much they're improving.
And I'm not into the illegal crap of downloading cracked software.
I just want to customize my device by changing the default skin, icons, etc.
