That rat doesn't look like a sewer rat so chances are half the stuff you listed wouldn't happen from that rat.
Rats also carried the plague in the old days :3

True story:
I live pretty much in the middle of the National forest in England (LE65). We had a cat that caught baby rats for us. The cat was killed by a snake (an adder). The adder now catches and kills more rats than the cat ever did and it doesn't need feeding or looking after or anything.
