Actually it is the script engine; or at least the evaluator for the script engine. Kalandra II automatically exposes every public/published method/property within the source code (both server and client) to the evaluator using RTTI. One of the main features of the original Kalandra but improved 100x =P

The sprite sheet I'm using for now was found on a forum, shared as CC (found via Google Images) so it's quite possible that you have seen them before. They may have even been designed for the maker you are talking about =P. While I'm still in early development and until I get an artist they serve as a place holder for better graphics.

I've made some changes to how graphics are rendered and also made a new "Kalandra.Bitmaps.pas" library that allows me to easily create better graphics and use them in OpenGL. In the future it will allow for a much better looking UI. For now I'm using it to render better looking speech bubbles and "cloud" text:



Looks awesome, I really like those trees. :p

Sorry if I sound stupid, but what would the "social" tab be for? Would it show which players are online or...?

Yeah, I'm not against it or anything, I really like it. (I make rpgmaker games at a rpgmaker website so I see stuff alot haha) But yeah, wish you good-luck, and I will play this for sure when it's done.

A few updates. The "admin" flag is now properly implemented and I've added a lot of validation to the server to make sure clients are behaving as they should. I've also made some big changes to the map format. Once these things are tested I'll start work on actor interactions, this will include the start of the combat system but I really need to do some work on the scripting system /before/ I get to involved in this to save work/time later.

That's awesome Sordie. I was kinda sad that you dropped the EO server that you were working on but this is a promising game! Keep up the good work. :>

OK I almost have enough "features" to need to start testing them in the real world. Once I tidy up some things I'll be releasing the new client, server and source code for both. I also plan on making a test server in the very near future so you guys can play/test my development version.

This sounds amazing. I was hoping there'd be something like a "main server" for this. ^.^

I doubt she would have the time to host her own server, She made the server software so we could run our own private servers.
