Forum :: Lounge :: Are these false positives? or real viruses?

Alright so theres this Fangame for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and their basicly re-making it in HD. i downloaded the file, AVG picked up 3 diffrent viruses... My question is, are these just false positives? or should i remove them immediatly?

AVG Said they removed them, but im running another full scan to be sure. original file is deleted from all locations on my comp

It might be a false positive. Site says it's safe. I just wonder why they don't do anything about it other than warn you.

I agree very inviting, anyways the download is almost finished, and they did state that if it comes up as a trojan if you downloaded from the above links then it was safe but i will run a scan on the files if clean i will play the game then run a scan on my whole pc.

Another thing, the sites still up, and its cancelled. that was the final alpha test release, the most recent.... So maybe its all fake? maybe.
