IF you do end up using Seose3, you should create it with something like sausage's SLN2 idea. Using 1 account for all private servers.
Again I'll stress: "HYPOTHETICAL" _IF_ I did write Seose3 then I'd only use a global account system (ala Minecraft / SLN2) if someone I trusted wrote and/or managed it. I have no desire to maintain something like that.
Yeah, i thought about that. You could manage the account system via php requests, which I think would probably have no need to maintain much of it. Just have it uploaded to sordie.co.uk, but Sausage controls the hosting right now right? Would love to see this implemented.
Anyways, MMO would be cooler, lol.

I assume you mean via HTTP GET/POST requests as PHP is a server side scripting technology that the client never sees =P. If so then yes, I'd probably manage account verification via HTTP.

Re: Security or adventure.
Why don't you make Seose 3 with its own client?
Could be a good idea, maybe have a universal sheet type for all equipment, which would make customization much better.
I made this up, its 64x64.
I'm sure if you were interested in doing something like this, the community would surely align all current equipment to be usable with this sheet type, since it would just be copy/paste.
It could also be good to cut the GUI so its easier to customize.
Hope you take this into consideration.

This wouldn't be Seose3 =P
Seose = S ordies e ndless o nline s erver e mulator. Pronounced "See-oh-see" (A lot of people get this wrong =S)
If anything this would be Sneos (Sordies "not" endless online server) and would do nothing but encourage people to steal graphics from EO for their servers =P

I meant it as being packed with all the EO graphics, just resheeted to have customization easier. Also I'm sure you could find a way to have the graphics folders maybe password protected or something?
I know in TFG they had it so there was an ingame section that was admin only where they uploaded the graphics and set the stats. Prettymuch a nice isometric engine, with EO as a placeholder, would be nice since you don't want to really work with anyone. :P
Edit:
Just adding, I like this idea since it would make it capable to use different sprites and stuff, and could be able to handle something like what I posted in this thread.
I like customizing, but the way the eo client is, its way too restricted to do anything of worth.

Haven't seen anyone ask yet but i only scanned through the posts quickly, What will Seose 3 have that private servers don't have? Will they be alot more features then lets say Eosource?
What ideas for a MMO was you thinking of doing? What features would you have in it?
