Agreed. Being impressed that EOSource has more servers like it's some kind of new entity is like claiming a cover band writes better songs than the original artist. If I though people really cared about "Server wars" and contributing to server software then I'd write Seose 3 and release it open source =P

So victory... the other team leaves the field and sure enough the remaining team scores a touchdown. True victory is obtained by "winning" fairly.

As Apollo says, when one non eosource server gets big, it somehow gets DDoSed.

Nor do I actually think anyone cares but the server owners about their player rates.

I think SLN originaly made for the "rase" between Seose and Eoserv on their very first steps. After Seose died, i dont see any reason why people should use that list, or even based their "victory" to these numbers. We all know That would never be Eosourse without Sausage, and Eoserv. Eosourse is just another closed sourse revision (or open sourse if you count Eoclone too, why i think Elevation is behind Eoclone? nvm). I dont want to be mean with Elevation or eosourse or anyone, i just say that every person that improving his skills with these servers, on programming, art, imagination, is a small victory for himself. The fun of creating stuff and sharing is the biggest victory no matter if your server is last or first, appear on sln or not, based on eosourse or eoserv. I saw very creative servers, much more better from a lot on eoserv, and they were based on seose... Victory for them. Just be creative and be satisfied with what every person achieve.
About Ddoss, we all know how hard is to create something but how easy is to destroy. If someone consider a "victory" when he ruins a server, then too shame for him. Real winners are the fighters.
