i didnt even know u had to connect to it in the first place.....
Well u see all these "supposedly" tutorials on the net only say that
"vps is a virtual blha blah....."
when they should be doing tutorials for beginner users such as yours truly, ME...
a good tutorial would be
How to obtain a VPS
- Buy a VPS account
- DONT PANIC IF NOTHINGS HAPPENING (THATS WHAT I DID AND I WENT ON A FRENZY SHOPPING OF IP ADRESSES AND UNECESSARY VPS DOMAINS AND SHIT)
-Dont panic because you have to wait at least a day or so for the company to process your order
-once processed THEY WILL send you an email the following
Host
user
pass
blah blah blah
usually in a pdf?
-Take those information
- Now TO CONNECT to your vps
on your computer you should have a pre installed program called "Remote Desktop Connection"
- Search it and run it
- up pops a box
now enter necessary information from the vps company
press connect
AND TARAAAAAAA
VPS is actually another computer where you can do stuff your normal computer does except it stays on all day all ports forwarded and good connection
now feel free to install all your server files download whatever you want (Well not what ever some programs are not downloadable)
and yes you can copy and paste stuff directly off your computer to your vps computer
What I thought a vps was before
virtual private server? Oh it must be something you had to send your server to the company they run it for you and bam vps is up and your server is stable
i thought the only function was to have a stable server....
