if there's virus in the program, informing the community who might use the program that the virus is there isn't pointless in my opinion..

I honnestly don't believe there's a backdoor in it. Not because I'm sticking up for ele or something but because: Why would he put a backdoor in it and make his reputation even worse when he knows that they someone will find it out eventually? But that's just my thought lol

There were some situations where my virus scanner claimed that some programs on my computer were a virus which wasn't the case. That happened today as well, My malwarebytes anti-malware claimed that something was detected as a virus but when I've beensearching on internet about it, it seemed that it wasn't a virus after all.

I understand what Hazard meant now.. this isn't going anywhere, there's no decent posts so far..

Seriously what is it with all these topics about MALWARE this and SPYWARE that, after the whole new worlds incident. How's about you don't use any kind of proxy to give you an unfair advantage over the rest of the in-game community (which I think this ELEBOT is? Correct me if I'm wrong) and then you won't have to worry about any backdoor or some shit. One word of advice, just scan stuff once it's downloaded for viruses etc etc, and run it under sandbox for the first run because that'll pick out any suspicious activity before it actually does damage to your whole system. This topic is pointless, as are some of the replies. Be smart, use legit software, scan with anti-virus and back up regularly.

No it is not a virus and if you look at the additional information tab at the bottom it has marked it as this:

Suspicious.Insight

This would be nortons fault for every retard on eoserv marking my products as a virus to symantec.

The day when programs/applications safety is based off reputation rather then actual facts i will need to take a gun to my head and shoot myself.

I never knew reputation-based was a security technology sounds to me like the PRO SMART VIRUS DETECTOR USERS do the hard work for norton.

Because we all secretly know everyone that uses Norton is some PRO VIRUS DETECTIVE right?
