The biggest thing I hate about how admins run their games, is the methodology that bans (permanently) fix their bugs and their (ab)use. This is just simply not true. ONLY fixing your bugs can...well, fix your bugs. Further more, they think that an IP ban will do any good against somebody who knew what they were doing in finding the bug in the first place. Anyone with that kind of sense will be back within seconds/minutes to come back and do the same thing. It's disgusting, especially when being threatened with one, especially after you've shrugged off ban after ban. Not that they won't stop an offender eventually, but if you're in knowledge of a (crashing) bug, just one evasion is enough to take advantage of it again. Even then, you could just tell the next person, and then the problem escalates.

The second biggest problem is having somebody call you stupid, because you've said something smart, or tried to (nicely) correct their mistake/opinion. I for one would like to know if I've said or done something wrong/stupid. What's worse is when they've did this, and still continue to spread around the stupidity, or just the wrong reason why something is broken, or why something acts the way it does.

The third problem with the internet, is people who automatically think other people can read their poorly written English (and I'm not talking about the ones who don't have English as their native language, because, damn it, they ARE trying), and then respond by saying "This isn't school. Why should I care?" Why should you care indeed. Why should you care about trying to communicate correctly, or in such a way that people can read what you're trying to communicate so they can communicate back, in an environment where communication is key. Do you know what most people call this pathetic excuse for laziness, or empathy? Spam, because that's what it is, pure spam.

One word: Truth.

When a server has a bug which can be abused, or has been found on accident, most of the people I know would tell me about it. I do not ban them, since it's my mistake that this bug occured in the first place. With there help, I'm able to fix this, so it won't occur again. Ban them? No. Reward them, or give them a thank you would be in it's place.

About the formal English way of writing, I agree. I laugh at people when they fix my mistakes, when I'm not even English. What makes me laugh even more is when they make mistakes aswell, and they ARE English. So I don't know what's more pathetic, if it's either me making a mistake cause English isn't my first language, or people that correct me, while making mistakes themselves, while having English as their first language.

Just to add to your rant, about people and admins. I dislike it aswell when someone doesn't put effort in the things he/she is doing, when they go to the forums a bit to quickly rather than to try and solve the issue themselves, and I'm not talking about "Hmmm.. ok can't find it. FORUMS!". Try it yourself first please, you're probably smarter than you can imagine. People wonder why I'm so frustrated all the time, well if you ask me the same question over and over again, it makes me wonder if you're actually listening, if you actually want to learn. Hosting a server isn't all about fun,and double clicking the .exe. It's about putting your time and effort into it. Fun is the part when you can be proud of it. What's more awesomer about creating something, and actually have it work, with other people enjoying it.

The one thing I can't stand is the connotation  of the word "Admin" in this community. Honestly, Admins should be havingless fun than players on their admin accounts. Admins are supposed to be mature. They are supposed to treat everyone fairly and put the well being of the game as a whole before their personal enjoyment. People ask for admin because they want the ability to "teleport", or spawn items, or just to actsuperior to other players. It's disgusting. If I have taken the time to create a server that is unique or different, I expect you to play the game and not beg for admin. What hasn't helped is the Image Vult-r projected on this community. Vult-r was the epitome of a horrible admin. He nevermoderated and when he did it was kick and ban fest. He was worshiped like a god by some players, which led to the whole "i want to be an admin" thing. Players should want to be like the older higher leveledplayers, they shouldn't be wanting the ability to ban people. I just want to smack my head against the wall when I see someone go "I can haz admin pl0x, or I ddos lol.". We just have a shit community in general.

I agree with both of you's on the server bug problem, If they found a bug and tell you about it they should be thanked not banned from the server. If they don't tell you and they start abusing it, then first and for most (dunno if that's how you say it) you fix the bug so the damage is stopped and then deal with the person responsible. 

With English I don't have a massive problem with other peoples grammar (unless it's almost unreadable, then that's just stupid). If it's not there native language and they keep making the same mistake on a certain word or w/e, then people should correct them and not say ''learn to spell''. Ialso hate ''grammar police'' no one's perfect so if they make a small mistake the same rule should apply you should correct them, not go off at them.

@Newguy Honestly I was one of those little kids that thought Vult-r was a god, but as I got older I realized he was a terrible Admin and didn't really care. I also hate when when people judge you or your server when they have only been playing for 5 minutes, or have witnessed one ''bad-ban'' or bug, All the work you have put into a server for months comes down to one sentence that's source is from 5 minutes of playing.

When a admin/admins give more people attention than others (There Friends). I think its best to treat everyone the same and if they deserve a mute or to be jailed do it with no hesitation. And when Admins constantly have massive convo's in @chat <-- When they could just talk in ~

Eh every server I go I can't seem to find a normal staff who moderates in moderation, they are all trying so hard to make their little game fair or trying too little. For one I think a private server team should consist of a lot of people but not all of them have to be made mods just so they won't take their ideas elsewhere or leave the server. Most servers hire a bunch of retards who want to enforce their own ideas of ''justice''  when in fact they've joined the team for something like pixeling and or quest writing. Also let's all agree that all private servers are weak and full of bugs and prone to most attacks, even the main eo source was full of bugs. With that being said, when you put a bunch of dumb mods who just get angry when their server gets attacked and instigate the attackers by calling them names out of anger, they just instigate more attacks. Mostly half these servers are attacked due to the fact an admin banned a player unfairly or was just going on a power trip, I have seen a lot of admins push players to the point where they ddos the game for 2 days straight or pay real money for it to be done. Admins should know what problems they can  handle and what problems they can't handle, if you ip ban someone and they were crashing then  call them  names or think the problem is over, they will return easily to crash your server or seek ways or people to do so.

tl ;dr I have yet to  see a private server with a staff that doesn't have one or two mentally challenged people.

Moderate in moderation is in a since my motto. Also the whole administrators banning/jailing or muting a player and then talking on glb or @ chat about the situation to mock or instigate the situation is ridiculous and id personally fire someone on the spot for that regardless of what theycontribute since apparently they aren't mature and or responsible enough to handle the amount of power they have received. I think the things that piss me off the most is abuse of players or @ chat, seriously you weren't hired to harass the game. And something Id like to point out, without namingany names, is the whole negotiating with terrorists(game a abusers in this case). If you are going to try and spend your time negotiating with someone who has potential or is abusing your server, all you are doing is jeopardizing the tons of your and others hard work and setting yourself up for adisaster. Instead you could be finding a solution to the problem. Even if that means putting your server offline, it's better then having the game ruined or being off and on for ever, there is always a solution.

Don't have much to say about the matter since I basically agreed with everything that has been said so far. The only thing I have to add is I hate people who act like complete tools/pricks and also those who get upset and cry about every little thing that happens such as " So and so scammed me, don't trust them". People need to get over it, scamming doesn't even exist, it is just stupid people being conned by smarter people (Which happens daily in real life and you don't see people crying to everyone they meet about it). As for people acting like pricks, I don't even see why they would even bother, if you don't have the balls to say it in real life to someone who could probably kick your ass you probably shouldn't do it in a game.

I hate people who like to talk like they're all big behind their computers D:.. So many admins are like this in attitude when given the power.

Yeah sometimes it annoys me, the internet. But at least we are somewhat away from the bottom of stupidity the internet has. My god if people could search for their problems or post something semi constructive at the least, it would be so much better.

Atleast this ranting keeps some of the idiots away. They be like "TL;DR"

About the admin thing, I agree, we should not have as much fun as the players. You don't have to earn anything. When I owned my server, the joy and fun I had came from watching my players enjoy my hard work. This is very much a reason I started programming. But what I would do was have asecondary character and play on him when I had spare time.

the English thing, I think it applies to a level. I mean correcting someone for saying prolly (which I do alot) and probably, I would consider that a little to far. But if u guise talkz like dish all deh time, =[.

The problem isn't that people honestly can't remember how to spell everything, or even use good grammar, but the ones that don't even try, and think that people should dumb down, or wise up to try and understand their stupidity, instead of the actual language. This may not be school, but in an environment that is mainly text anyways, you should make an honest attempt at legibility.

The spell check function is a win win when it comes to "grammer" <---? with out the spell check I would have spelled grammar like that and I bet not to many people would have even noticed!

On forums the grammar police bother me,on game servers there are plenty of people who over do it and make the server all stiff.

Lol I just laugh on this!! xD Because all of them are the truths! xD

Anyways, In my addition to this.

The thing I hate is when an admin is turning to a dramatic actor/actress just to show or provoke the owner or the boss to feel a sympathy or an attention to them especially for promotion, basically it appears that being an attention seeker or a dramatic king/queen is an effective way forheightening a reputation, friendship, chance, fortune on having a promotion especially when you effectively caught the owner's or the boss's eyes and attention, even you don't got much things to do or things you can do, you can be easily promoted even though others are much potential and candid onthe task, so basically the much qualification and potential for having a promotion will be receive by a non-qualify and non-candid admin, by this way, the owner/boss will accidentally pronounce a bias decision when someone got promoted less candid/qualify than others.

I mostly agree with all of this but,
I saw you said: Correcting an opinion.
That doesn't make alot of sence to be honest, me personally, I like the way how different people are and to try and see things from a different perspective.
So why bother correcting it? Unless it's impolite or maybe even worser.
And the language barrier bothers me to be honest, mostly when players log in 'Kto polak itamz plox'
Then they don't try to be honest, they just want items and it's sort of irritating lol.
So I mostly ask, if i get you the items what will you do then?.. No reply ofcourse since they don't understand it.

And another thing that bothers me about admins is that some admins go on hide to walk around you because their bored and when you're in the middle of a conversation
they randomly unhide instead of swarp away, which I find rather rude.
