Post #140138 Shooting of Trayvon Martin

As you all know if anyone actually keeps up with the news, they would probably hear about the case that's been in headlines for a while now about the shooting of Trayvon Martin. Aswell with all allegations of racial motivations and police misconduct triggered public demands for Zimmerman's arrests. I personally think Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law concept is just entirely stupid. And it's about time that it's been brought international attention I'm hoping this can be a clean intellectual conversation with no pointless comments in attempt to troll. *which means no stupid memes regarding the issue.

Just wanted to see everyone elses thoughts about this.

It's so stupid how they're making such a big deal out of this.
How come they don't make such big deals when it's the African Americans shooting and killing innocent people?

Now if I'm correct that Trayvon kid started a verbal argument with the Hispanic guy which trayvon came up to the guy and stuck him in the nose (breaking his nose) and pinning him to the floor and punching him in the face.

Yes, the guy was following the kid because the kid was wearing a hoodie and he thought it was a robber due to the recent activities happening in his neighborhood (robbing and such) he actually called the cops saying there was a suspicious person in the neighborhood which is why he was following him in his car.

Now people say why do that? Well not only is he paranoid about wanting to stop these robbing but not just that why did Trayvon have to start a verbal argument with the guy which later became physical which ended up in his murder?

Now he's been arrested and we all know he's not going to have a fair trial due to all this media bullshit.

Post #140142 Re: Shooting of Trayvon Martin

I live in Florida so i hear shit about this kid every god damn day & honestly i'm sick of how big of a deal the public has made about this.

George Zimmerman was just defending himself. Like Crease Khakis said, Trayvon started the whole thing.

I wouldn't say he deserved to die but he wasn't exactly dodging trouble. I also hear a lot of talk about how George Zimmerman

killed Trayvon for being black, which is in fact, bullshit. In police records, George Zimmerman has been arrested for protecting one of his black friends.

This man is the complete opposite of racist. Anyways, i don't really give a fuck that this kid died. (Not because he's black, for all you conclusion hopping motherfuckers)

About the Stand Your Ground law.. twenty-four other states have "stand your ground" laws; of those, ten states have a law identical to Florida's.

I personally, don't think they should do away with this law because the media decided to use Trayvon Martin's case to attack.

This law has worked before and it's been proven that although it may not be one of the most well thought out laws, it serves its purpose.

I also live in Florida, most ignorant people would say Zimmerman is racist due to the fact that his "victim" was a African American.  Makes me laugh so times how retarded people are these days.

He won't get a fair trial and is probably going to be found guilty.

You get your talking points from fox news or what?

If someone was stalking you, first in a car and then on foot, wouldn't you confront them?  What do they teach kids about "stranger danger" these days anyway?  I find it hard to believe that Zimmerman, who is a foot taller and 100 lbs heaver than Trayvon Martin felt his life was in any danger. Have you listened to the 911 tapes? read the witness interviews? Or have you just took what the conservatard hate-mongering talking heads at face value and parroted that with little to no thought at all about just what it is you are saying?

If I'm correct you aren't suppose to attack someone who's following you,It's called run away.  Also the tapes, there's no telling who was yelling for help.
Not only that it doesn't really matter if you're bigger than the person because the first thing you're going to do if someone starts beating you (if you have a weapon) is pull it out and protect yourself.

Trayvon did run but Zimmerman pursued him, after the 911 dispatcher told him to stay put. That right there is evidence of Zimmerman's intent to provoke a confrontation. The real failure here was with the police, who clerared the crime scvene in less time than they would usually spend on a fatal traffic accident. I mean WTF? the first thing they did was send a narcotics agent out to test trayvon, the victim. then they put him in the mourge as a john doe despite various forms of ID that was on him.. hell it took 45 days before they brought any charges at all.

Post #140148 Re: Shooting of Trayvon Martin

As Redrocco said 911 calls do prove that Zimmerman pursued him, now please tell me this if Zimmerman was indeed, feared for his own safety why would he pursue Trayvon and chase him. Also the video footage shows George Zimmerman unharmed but a few scuffs while the police arrested him.

@Andrew Don't bother posting pointless shit, if you can't be mature -->

@Haze

I would say if I was living in Florida I would care, think about what will happen if Zimmerman actually doesn't get sentenced it would encourage other people to take this law out of control. I suggest if that were to happened try not to "attack" anyone or they just my kill youinselfdefense, thenyou have no position to complain cause you didn't give a fuck. Just like how anyone that doesn't vote, shouldn't be complaining about the government when they didn't do anything about it.

The mugshot of Zimmerman is clearly him, whereas that blurry photo there's no proof telling it's actually Trayvon or not for all you know it could be some other random black kid.

Also may I add that Media Bias have been happening for years, don't see why people are bringing this up.
