What is the art policy on your server?
in other words, what rights do you claim if a user submits artwork?
a lot of servers try to claim full rights to a piece just because it was posted...

I'm not sure if i'm answering this right but;
I would say that you have the right of coming up with the idea and creating it for yourself, unless you get someone else to. No matter who makes the item, all credit and rights should go to the person who came up with the idea.
Is that what you were looking for? >_< I didn't understand the question 100% but I gave the best reply I could think of, lol.

It depends where you post it. In certain places, I'f you post, they earn the rights to whatever you post. That's why sausage has that footnote near the copyright ---

I don't see why a server would claim art work any how? If the artist made it. He or she should have full rights to do what they want with it. Seeing as they made it. ---

It's very easy to see. Its something like what happened to Arvid. If the artist wants his art back, he has the legal rights to take them back unless he gave away the rights. Most games do take the rights to avoid having to remove art if an artist leaves and comes back. ---
