I'd say this friday would be a good date to help make my developers work faster xD

But no for real our games going to be hella excellent.

Can we have it rated and judged when it's online and not a certain date?

I hope this Friday is a joke, That's WAY to soon. It's going to be 1,2 maybe even 3 months.

and yes, they will be judged when your server is online, and we'll all give it a rating out of /10 and We'll post all of the judges scores beside your server on the front page.

What categories will the servers be judged on? You should add it to your first post if there will be any.

There won't be any categories, we will just be judging on the map quality, the amount of maps, graphics, quests (if there are any) , and the website format.

Add Exp rate, gameplay (Yes there are ways of making gameplay more interesting and better even with eo.), and stat balancing to that list.

And yeah hopefull we'll be online by next monday we'll see though.

stixx...if this contest is going to take like 3 months I don't want to be in it. I thought it was going to be start a server and see how far you get in 1-2 weeks then submit what you have. I already have a completely playable game and I've been working on it off and on for 3 days...

If you think you have a good and playable server after 3 days then you need a hell of a lot more help than that. You red to put SO much thought into it, port forward it, get your admins, get your items, maps, GFX, SFX, all that kind of stuff, not just make a server, add a few maps, port forward it and call it your own?

You're condescending attitude really irks me as odd considering you have not a clue what my server is about. I didn't make a Cookie-cutter endless online server. The concept I am using I made up a long time ago (~rev 189). I could've just copy and pasted my completely original pubs and used my old rev 189. I decided to be fair and grab a fresh rev 302 and recode everything. The result is looking very nice. My server is a minigame server and it is an idea that has already proved to be successful. When I put it on last year for a couple hours a day and got 15 people on it at the same time. I thought it would be fun to remake it for a contest, but now I see that one of the judges is trying to tell me what to do. And that I have to go up against people who have been working on there projects for months. Are you going to apologize for making a stupid assumption or are you going to continue being a prick?

I was pointing out that it's impossible to do all that in 3 days, even if you had the files and stuff anyway. I wasn't being a prick or trying to tell you what to do. If YOU'RE going to be a prick about it, don't bother entering, but if you're not, then play by the god-damn rules and be patient. Other people need a chance too, so don't go making suggestions about the closing date as if you're the boss of it all. Every good server takes time to make.

I just said I was probably going to quit if it was going to be 3 months. That's all. I don't really know why you think that all good servers require this massive amount of time to become good or playable. I've seen countless projects get really far and just die off because they spend so much time thinking about making it that they never get anything done and they lose interest. I have used eoserv long enough and been around long enough that I know there really isn't much I can't do as far as coding. I'm sorry for calling you a prick but I don't do well with people telling me what to do.

I could probably code but I found a way to do everything I want without coding. This also will allow me to keep eoserv as stable as possible. I have found a bunch of solid work around that will give the game more character and hopefully a funner experience while playing.
