Hey everyone of the eoserv community!

  I've had this idea for a little while now and I want to know if anyone would be interested in having a contest againsted other forum members on creating the best EO server.I would like some feedback as of now to see if anyone would be interested, ifwecangetafewpartiestogetherthecontestwill happen. If you wish to throw together a team , please comment below with the name of your whole team, and the idea behind the server. Websites/youtube channels will help you by giving extra points for creativity/design. I'm also looking for1-2otherjudgestohelpmepickthewinner. 

Here's a break down of some of the rules:

-No stealing artwork from other people.

-Use your own maps, do not use any of the EO original maps.

-3-5 people / party

-have fun!

Why am I still here...

Are there any rules against starting the server before the competition? Because some people have been working on a server for like a year.

I would say it depends how far along you are. If the server's near complete, I wouldn't accept that applicant.

Why am I still here...

I've been working on my server for over a year (well idea wise), and I'm probably a good 6 months before I'm close to getting ready for release. My questions are, how long will we have to create a server, how many maps do we need to call it a server, and how many maps to put?

This contest can be held for as long as people feel the need to create a server, Very flexible. As minimal maps goes, I would say AT LEAST 25.

Well I'll sign up if you would allow me to.

The only real advantage I have over any fresh person is that I have been planning my ideas for over a year now. I am working out the ideas for my website but I'm starting my website tomorrow. Server side the only thing I've done is added some things to the formulas page, added classes and changed some config options. Oh and I set up my databases..but that is about it. My ideas to run my server need no source code edits at all. 

If you will accept me and the other people entering the contest, then I'll be glad to join. Though I do not know if I'll be able to finish my server on time. There is a reason why I haven't gotten that far on my server in over a year. XD

 mine will have been online a year at the end of March so that leaves me out (not that I would want in other than as a way to promote it). I have over 125 custom maps and none of the originals on my server, and as far as I know there are no stolen gfx, tho there are a lot of free to use pieces. I think the main thing holding me up is the lack of storyline and quests. I mean there is a backstory, but it exist mainly in my head.

now if it was a mini-server contest with a max of 25 maps that would be a different story

The only other team member I could get cannot help at this time. Most of the people I know are great mods/people but cannot do anything game wise. Plus I'm scared to have a team, don't want to get them all hyped up and then have to quit on them later. 

Game name is Revelation. Guess I'll make the first starting parts of the game/story, so it will be like a game demo for the Revelation game. (Though all accounts will be wiped after contest)

Well if you would like to Join just make new maps and make the Story line thats in your head, and make this server for the contest like a little teaser of your actual server. I'm sure that would be fine ^^
