 RIP Whitney Houston
Just wante to say RIP to Whitney Houston, an amazing singer as she was, and I doubt that there is any of you who will not know who she is. If you wish to pay you're respects, just put in "RIP Whitney Houston" and a comment with it if you want to. Ive kind of started it off, but to reall make
itstart off, I'll just say a saying that is often said in my country (Ireland):

Yes I hope she rests in peace her voice was amazing. However this was bound to happen she has been struggling with drug addictions for a while

A while ago meaning today-__- All of the news stations(well in America) released the 'breaking news' on their websites like an hour ago.
EDIT: Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) Found on Wikipedia which also just reported her death within the hour.

That's not what I meant. I meant that I basically knew about it as soon as it "happened", and I was simply implying that normally someone starts a thread after something happens. ---

CBS posted the article at 8:18pm and this topic was posted 36 mins ago and now its 9:36. So... this topic was posted 42mins after major news stations confirmed her death. I would
say that's not bad timing. You make it seem like this happened days ago. Anyway. On with the topic.

Well since I was watching a show on CBS and saw them interrupt my show with the breaking news then I went to the E! channel
and saw the same thing nearly at the same time. And how the article was posted a few minutes before it aired. And to answer your question, long enough for them to confirm she has died, they wouldn't let
another unneeded second go by with all of the news channels trying to be the first with the breaking news.
