Hello Eoserv. I'm here to provide you with a guide, this guide will be on how to edit your pub files. I know most people already know how to do it, but some don't. I think it's important to create a guide like this, so I will explain the basics of pub editing.

What does each pub extension represent?
1..ECF = Class Pubs

2. .EIF = Item pubs

3. .ESF = Spell Pubs

4. .ENF = NPC Pubs.

How to edit a pub file?

NOTE: EDITING A PUB FILE CAN BE DANGEROUS. IF IT IS YOUR FIRST TIME, I RECOMMEND MAKING A BACKUP OF IT FIRST BEFORE EDITING! YOU CAN CORRUPT YOUR PUB FILES EASILY.

A Pub file is easy to edit, just follow these steps.

1. Download Edit PUB. http://www.mediafire.com/?nnh5twdb37oljzy

2. Now open the Edit Pub Tool

3. Now you can choose Between Edit pub Or Pub Edit (I prefer Edit Pub.)

4. When opening the editor you will see a small white screen with nothing on it.

5.Remember the extensions I mentioned above, now open the extension you wanna edit.

6.When opened, you'll see a bunch of items that will appear and you'll select what you wanna edit.

NOTE: NEVER EDIT THE EOF FILE IN ALL PUBS!!! THIS WILL RUIN YOUR PUB.

7.Lets suppose you wanna change the name of an Oron. Scroll down untill you find Oron, double click it and change the name.

NOTE: AFTER EDITING DO NOT FORGET TO CLICK FILE, UPDATE!

8.After finishing editing everything you wanted press File, Save

9.On your server type $repub and the pubs will be reloaded. Remember you must be an admin to do this command.[/b]

NOTE: Sometimes $repub does not work, so you may want to restart the server!
