Im bored andi just wanted to ask how eoserv got so popular?

Well lets see alot of people played eo, eo died for a bit they found eoserv.net... then others who didn't play eo found it by going to other gaming communities who posted guides on how to make your own server. So now we have Endless players an people who are just interested in making their own game.

Eo died, before this people advertised their servers on main, then people got on those servers and asked "How did you make this!???" and they told them "I made it using eoserv, seose, or w.e" then the other people said "where do you download that??" and they say "eoserv.net, why?" and then the other people say "I'm gonna make my own server!!!11!1, it will be so gewd!" and then they download it ask a bunch of dumb questions on the forum, get it running and after two days, and then quit trying because no one played their server. 

Biggest run on sentence ever, but it's true. :)

Yep.

Before EO died, people we're advertising their servers... everyone was like FUCK THAT SERVER SHIT THEY HACK xD.. then EO died.... or started to die... then everyone was like well its worth a try now that vult's an asshole and doesn't care :)

For some one reason this made me go watch the hitler finds out about the gold dupe.. "Everyone who made a private server leave the room"...

 I do believe eoserv is going to grow in popularity once the emulator is closer to done.. because just look at it.. there's so much more that could be done with eoserv.. kind of like eclipse or xteremworld.

Most of the initial users came from the EOHax forum. In fact, so many users came from EOHax that it completely died a few short months after the EOSERV forums got popular.

I didn't really know about EOHax back in the day, I just knew it was the source of the EOHax trainer so I could AFK train myself.. I didn't really know what the use in a forum was back then so I never really joined that community.. I found EOSERV through a test server advertisement so I checked it out, tried a few things, put a server online for a bit and me and my friend set out on making a half decent server so that's basically how I got to know about EOSERV and I've been coming back ever since :P

This all started from early 2009 when first private servers started actually advertising on main.

Well. Most of you know I don't really play Elndless Online any more but found out about EOSERV when an old friend I used to play on test with said they wanted help starting their own server. My initial reply was "Have you been drinking?" then it came to him giving me a link to this place. Back when there wasn't any executable releases so a long ass time ago now. Any hoot. I compiled it for him and then he started his own server. I only registered on here when I decided to start my own server but now I don't even do that so I'm just a Moderator that will try and help others.

I like the progress EOSERV has got and just think, it'll be soon a complete replica of the main server :D

Whist progress does seem a bit slow, you must take in consideration that Sausage has more to do than sit working on EOSERV.
