I'm pleased to see signatures once again become an option on EOSERV.net. I for one have often found that I have a small piece of information that I would like to see added to the end of a post/reply automatically and this caters to that need perfectly.

The primary reason signatures were removed in the first place, I believe, is because users were advertising their servers in them. Now that we have a dedicated area for advertisements, users have an outlet for their advertising other than signatures, which helps alleviate the issue we had initially.

However, restricting it to limited text only is a good move. Images in signatures are not the hallmark of a decent, resourceful forum community and are often abused. They cheapen the look of a forum, making it look amateurish, and it does nothing for the name and brand of the community. Therefore they should have no place on EOSERV. I think most users here would tend to agree.
