In Players.cpp there's some code that specifies the icon for a player (e.g. reply.AddChar(ICON_HGM_PARTY);)

You simply replace it with reply.AddChar(20) for bots when reporting to the SLN. It's mainly the burden of the server developers to provide that for you (like Seose and Kalanda's bots did).

I'll probably just create an EOSERV option for marking bot characters instead.

I'm the hoster of "seven-blades.servegame.com". I just disabled my bot.

your not blacklisted, they are just hosts with filtered names, meaning the bot wont show up on the sln.

Read the top part of that... Your not blacklisted.. you will be if you change their bot's name.

Added BotCharacters option in revision 277.

So basically, you're disallowing bots on servers if said servers rename their bots constantly?

Bots were never allowed. Instead of blacklisting the 20 or so new servers who have bots on their player lists, I decided to filter them. If they change it to avoid the filter then they will be blacklisted.
