Here before this gets into a rage fit...

Go read this:

https://eoserv.net/forum/topic/17496

This is old news an it should be left that way, why argue an bicker over some thing that was proven, and according to Hollow removed.

Its not even just eoserv, its the hole eo community but I believe the dickhead comes from the people who are defending hollow more then the ones stating facts. I have no doubt that hollow wasn't going to use the command, but no reason to defend him when he can do it himself an has done it.

Anyways quick answer its fixed now according to hollow.

It is a closed source, therefore nobody can tell you if one exists actually or not. I'm sure it is safe now as Sausage even tested it, but can't be 100% sure as something else was blocking something he said. But anyways.. it is up to you to choose your actions based on what others say.If you feel it unsafe and unnecessary, don't use it. Plenty of people are using it without complaints, and many others say they don't trust it. But it is up to you whether you decide to use it or not, and I think that has been established here. It is a good source yes, and I see no problem with it,but many others don't trust it, andI cansee why they feel that way after what happened. There is just no need to have an argument over this, as this subject has enough said about it, and people just drag it on. Hollister was asking a simple question, yet members turn it into another e-fightevery time this topic is brought up. Just do what you believe works for you, it is your choice after all. Don't let anyone choose for you.

What we do know is that Login info was still stored to memory. Our reply from their group was that it had to be to allow for the Account Logging option.

I assure you that there is no reason for the server to ever store login information to memory for the matter of a server operator logging them. Any text strings could be printed directly to file without being stored into memory. There is no reason to continue topics about EOSource. It is already outdated software and based on their newbie methods I would assume the build is not very efficient. By the time they clean their source code of the bugs and various bullshit they are trying to push on users that don't know any better and actually release it open source so their community feels safe, it will be less than significant to salvage the tarnished image they have achieved in such a short time.

We did not seek out to prove EOSource was unsafe, they did that. As well, we didn't seek to make Elevations look bad, he did that to himself. Look guys, this isn't EO main. No one gives a fuck if you got a duped Baru which makes you look as cool as the dude that won a real one from a Christmas Doll back in 2006. Fact is they coded around 1-5% of that build, and of that 1-5% most of that code had been released publicly here in the past, and frankly there are some really great coders around here, but had Sausage not got this ball rolling there would be no EOSource or any other BS like that. Like the dupers of old, they want to feel special too because releasing a build in the forums here is not good enough. For some reason they felt the need to start their own EOSERV revision website, idk maybe because they were planning on backdoors and shit. Ok, so Sausage found a backdoor, coincidental? Nah. Less coincidental that they enforced a hard-coded ban on Sausage's hard drive (maybe to keep him from finding a new backdoor). Still don't buy that it is gone, but it could be since the cat is out of the bag.

Rule of thumb, don't trust anything that is introduced to this community in a closed source form. They seem to be concerned with "code-stealers"  stealing their "stolen-code", or the fact they will have to replace the license agreement should they distribute the work in open source form and properly give credit to its author. If you are unsure of the nature of a software released here, this is a public forum. Voice your concerns. And never trust anything that has an avatar with purple print and the child-like "owned by me" slogan (Who even speaks that way after they are past the age of 4?). I don't trust it, I don't recommend it, and really could care less what they do from this point on. Dismissed as noteworthy.
