Edit: That i3 laptop is much better. Recently built a hackintosh with one of them and it's a beast. I believe that is your best choice so far, and personally I'll recommend anything built by asus(as long as it doesn't contain AMD ._.)

I do agree.. AMB<Intel but aren't all acers amb? I mean for causal use an cheapness acer is prettydecent. 

Edit: I just went to sony's site to look at vaios for you.. an they are all 500+ which is sad.. since bestbuy right before xmas had a nice sale for 400 usd.
