I've had such bad experiences with Compaq and HP... Last compaq laptop I used the motherboard got fried... then I had a HP desktop.. an oh I ended up throughing it in the trash lol. But Acer I've had good experiences with.. only problem that I've noticed me an others have had with it is the keyboard begins to sink/dip in a little bit after about 2 years of usage lol.

Oh Lol. I've had my Compaq laptop for 6 years now and it's running like a brand new laptop. Since I changed the Hard-drive to a newer version. But, it's up to Jimmy on what he is going to spend with his money.

I will say I did get the compaq for free so that could of been the problem lmfao.
But I'd say acer for a good starter laptop thats cheap an reliable for the most part.

Like this acer

Its not bad an its a decent price, I mean it is refurbished but hey its still a laptop.

EDIT:
Just saw your link, that ones good. I mean I wouldn't mind having it! :)

Are you all crazy? 400$ for a AMD Laptop? That's like paying 400$ for a plastic frying pan for your eggs...
