Do you think EOserv is dying?
I personally do NOT think eoserv is dying. If anything it's finally picking itself up. If you go to the stats tab ^ In the past 3 days there has been 133 active users. That's a huge amount of people. Do you guys think eoserv is dying?

Re: Do you think EOserv is dying?
Only time I feel eoserv is dying is in my error log when it says "eoserv is dying" ;(
I feel we have had a nice boost an reformation in the forums have helped that. We now can discuss hiring/recruiting and advertising our servers which I think will help the community expand. ---

I think EOserv would be better if there was not pointless topics, more users that didn't troll, New users knew how to use search.

I don't think EOSERV will reach its peak for some time. (And that's a good thing.) ---

But in every forum there are "useless" topics, I mean as long as the uselessness stays in lounge I don't see a problem with it. The trolling is normal in any community an lately we have had less trolls which is great! And I totally agree about the search thing lol. ---

Re: Do you think EOserv is dying?
Personally it definitely is not what it used to be. But eoserv is dieing in some ways. Lots of old members are leaving, we just lost Seose, and some other things. But it isn't in some. We just got a brand new forum section, lots of people are making eo clients and that will open up a whole
new world to EO. If one of them ever has the source released it'll be even bigger. I don't think it has died much if it has. ---

Interpret the graph any way you want.
(It's the middle of January, the tall bar is the prediction for the month and the short one is posts so far)

So 2011 brought more posts then 2009, and 2010. That's good ;)

Re: Do you think EOserv is dying?
Just something to point out. Although the software EOSERV is a near complete emulation of the game mechanics of the original Endless Online, the potential of EOSERV is far from met. Future projects such as a working EOCLIENT and other supporting software are still in very primative forms. What this means is that future development is possible and certainly could lead to the eventual production of the world's first totally free isometric mmorpg maker. While some want to toot their own horn with hacked-on revisions of the software hosted here, there is no mistaking that this is the official site for EO server emulation. At this point we have only saw traffic from fans of the original game that have wandered here possibly by mistake, but it is entirely likely that software hosted here may eventually become highly mainstream. Don't believe me? You should ask Enterbrain how much money they potentially lost by not marketing their RPG Maker software to English audiences. The amount of "patched" downloads and plethora of communities that spawned from that is enough to make any game publisher *facepalm*. You can almost bet that eoserv.net hasn't even met 10% of its potential yet.

Look how far the program Eclipse went an how many users ended up using it or downloading it an giving it a shot. A free RPG maker of any kind always has alot of potential to bring in users. I mean who doesn't dream about creating a game an being in charge?

Re: Do you think EOserv is dying?
My opinion is much the same as everyone else's. I am seeing Sausage take a more active position in the forum, seeing as new forum sections have been released and also seeing EOSERV 0.5.4 being released. Just before I thought EOSERV was going to the pack Sausage brings it back up. Good job
boss.
