Getting other players drawing and such. Been doing little by little as I can. It hasn't been easy to push forward as quickly on some things as I'd like to because I'm stuck waiting for Divine to get graphics to me and fix some. Anyways this video is from a few minutes ago. Today's Updates

  • Smooth Walking & Sprinting animations across the server.
  • Sit/Stand across the server.
  • Attack animation across the server.
  • Public chat from other players now displaying.

Action Queue Explanation

The way my action queue system works is every action is en-queued. So if the client receives a Walk, Attack, Face(Change direction), Sit/Stand, etc packet then it will en-queue that action. Each player has its own thread which runs in the background to process the actions in their queue. It will not process the next action in the queue until the current action has completed. This makes walking accurate and non-jumpy. Before adding this queue system it would skip tiles when it received the next walking packet before it was done animating the current step it was taking.Now it processes every action in order without getting out of sync. Therefore keeping it smooth and accurate. ^_^
