Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
@Diji
Quit fucking posting irrelevant shit to topics. Nobody cares what you created on someone else's thread. If anyone wanted to they would post it. But that is not the case, so quit it with the most fucking stupid posts I have seen on here.
Also that looks amazing Death.

Its not irrelevant shit, your the one posting "irrelevant" shit. If anyone wanted to read some stupid shit, theyd read your posts. Your all superficial, thinking your high and mighty but yet your the 99% im talking about when i say the community and how they cant do shit for themselves.

How about we all stop fighting before the topic gets locked, or deleted. He took the time and made it for people so i would appreciated it. (When i say made it for people i mean the topic.)

Thanks Mitch! I just think dijirocks has been taking it in the butt a little too much, so he's getting all worked up.

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
This looks very promising! But question, will the inventory views of items be used at all..? I don't see a paperdoll in the traditional sense.
EDIT: I really think that you should release the client (Close-sourced or not) to the community for use. Seriously, there are detrimental issues with the original client that cause glitches, such as stat caps that result in stats resetting if they get too high. Another more serious one is the
limited recognition of graphics, capping at 10000 resources in the egf files. Vult had already filled up most of the weapon graphics, so it is a serious issue. A new client would resolve these limitations and eliminate some serious headaches for server owners.

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
I've pretty much been around to see this client grow more & more, I was on your forums when you made the first topic about it, It's really cool to see how far it's come.
I for one am glad that you're not releasing the source to the public. If you put so much work into it keep it as your own. Even if you were releasing it to the public you would get so many idiots asking you how to modify the source when they don't know anything about coding.
Anyways, Keep at it exile!

Dont get why everyone is so amazed at this, your never going to be able to have it. I like the concept because of the no paperdoll and how its built into the inventory and id like to see it have item stats when you highlight items and a hotkey bar for weapons, potions and spells. it looks pretty
amazing-- mind the weird background colors etc.
Oh and clive, haters gonna hate.

I don't get why you're acting all top shit? We're all amazed because it's good work! I don't see you doing any better?
It doesn't matter if we're not getting the source or not, It's a change from the original client, which is enough for me.

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
Its all very simple really to understand where i am coming from. The people that have the ability to provide a new game client, wont. The people who are desperate for one, wont get one. Why hasn't there been a combined effort to create a new game client? Everyone keeps saying thats the next step to
keep a dying game alive, a fully open source customized game client. How come noone has stepped forward with that solution instead of showing off their creation? As i said i stated my opinion on how he has chosen to design it, i love the no paperdoll aspect. He has original ideas and i like to see
that.

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
@Addison, Lul.
Also, diji does have a point. EOSERV is dieing because its only private servers. We are limited in the creation of our servers because we dont have an open source client. People keep saying that if we got an opensource client, we'd be open to a whole new level. The problem with that is that
everyone that has said that their client was going to be open-source, eventually ends up closing it and using it for their own use. Not that there is anything wrong with that, they made it so why shouldnt they beable to decide what to do with it.

i would have to agree with you here i know these other guys are all talking down to you but i commend you for speaking the truth here its okay to show off your work but its not okay for all these client coders
to not step forward with the much needed other end of the Eoserv software (Desmond excluded) even if its not fully finished in functionality with the source being open then other coders could give an attempt to not only help complete those bugs/unfinished aspects.this
isn't unreasonable or even selfish to ask maybe some of you don't like to hear talk like this because you feel "ive worked to hard to let a bunch of noobs have my source" but really looking at it another way if the shoe was on the other foot and you were the ones who are left in the lurch
because the programmers of the community refused to fulfill the needs of the very community they are part of. but think of this if Sausage and the other people who helped the Server software get to this point kept all of it closed source where would allot of you be?
maybe you won't like me stepping in here and saying this but i had to because I've been saying similar things and feel confused by this ideal that an open sourced client is
unattainable simply because people "don't feel like it"
