Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| Anybody who gets on my forum most likely already knows about this project, as I keep this topic updated. This client was originally planned to be an open-sourced client for anybody to use, but it had a change of plans. I ended up running into a 64-bit compiling problem which had me tied up for a while until it finally struck me that it was just a 64-bit compiling problem. After I figured that out I've resumed the project to be a client for my server I'm going to be setting up. Details about the server and such aren't necessary. I just figured since everyone else wants to show off their clients they're making why not do the same. Mine already includes: registration, log in, character creation, character deleting, password change, logging in game (retrieving map and pub files from the server + updating if necessary), rendering all map layers, and walking is nearly done. There's no guarantee I'll keep this thread updated, but I will still be keeping updated info posted up on my forum about this project. --- ¨°º¤ø„º°¨ Exile Studios ¨°º„ø¤º°¨

I took his preview of it and cropped out the screen area so i knew my bounds for the map rendering and such. I'm still waiting for him to finish cutting out all of those graphics so i can actually add in the functional in-game gui. This was his preview he provided for the gui he's making. Instead of waiting for him to finish it to proceed on the in-game features like rendering the map and such I merely cropped that out. --- ¨°º¤ø„º°¨ Exile Studios ¨°º„ø¤º°¨

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| What language is this coded in? C#? doesn't that mean it requires .net framework to run?
|
Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| ahh i thought it was done. didn't know it was added --- -.-

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| This looks so fucking good!

How ever before release I will be attempting to include the dll's required for those to save people the trouble of having to install either if they don't have them already. --- ¨°º¤ø„º°¨ Exile Studios ¨°º„ø¤º°¨

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| It seems everyones keeping their shit to themselves lately. I guess i should be the first to release an open source client and start a #trend.

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| See? Why not release a fully working client? whats wrong with that? lazy...

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| I did say in my post that I haven't the time to add networking. I still haven't the time and I don't even touch that project any more :P --- I am an alien and not crazy!

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| Why release something half done? This community is fucking dumb. They dont know shit about programming, only a handful do. And when the handful release something it gets cast aside. Remember Kalandra? How it was supposed to change up eo? Junk. No one is smart enough or even capable of tweaking
it except Sordie.

Re: Joining the bandwagon -> ES EO Client
| The person who made the topic isnt releasing anything either so why point the finger at me? Im not dumb i see where this is going. He just wants to show off what he has accomplished its understandable. Should i make a topic like this and screenshot all the programs ive ever made to interface with endless online and then at the bottom in very small print be like "oh, and im not giving anything to anyone, its all mine"? No one here would take full effect of anything i created either way. Only my unrealized goal of Project Sanctum and EOPerl an eo emulator of my own making along with Diji-Client and eo client in c# would be helpful to this community but yet again no one has any interest in perl or c# as so
eloquently put with Addiserv, another c# program that has gone nowhere with this community. It is just that when i see someone who is actually committed and fully vested into wanting to improve or otherwise manipulate any of my creations into something grander i shall release them. |
