So I noticed a server has been using a pay link to there server site... 

I do believe this should be against the rules, unsure if it is.. this is just my opinion.. 

http://adf.ly <-- site like this shouldn't be used on the SNL, I mean it seems a little un-ethical to allow these private server owners to make money off of a link that is hosted on eoserv.

well idk i agree n then i dont cause  some of us want to be able to make something out of our servers too not everything in life is free

No one should be making money running an Endless Online Server. I am sure there is a law that is stopping you from doing so but all countries are different and I haven't the time to check it all out.

yeah but hmm lets say origins (no ad) but what if they have a low level of donaters they want to be able to pay for vps since it not free

I don't believe it's illegal. Since they are not making money because of a 'private server' They just fairly made people visit their website and earn moeny of it whoever uses adfly.

I don't mind servers getting donations, but when a server is on the SNL an they have a ad. link to get some kind of money out of the SNL listing then I find it a lil disrespectful since they are being listed on eoserv.net when they don't have to be allowed to. Just my opinion though, but donations are legit.. what else could be done is on the main website have a ad.ly to your client instead of to the server website..

Wow I didnt realize i hadnt changed it back to the website link, Ill fix that link in a minute. Since I started hosting again I havnt payed much attention to the server.
My out look on it is I dont make crap of the adfly link it doesnt go to me. "Your site 10000 visitors/5.00" but even if I did I wouldnt see anything wrong with it I might have made a 25 cents if the money went to me but it dont!
I dont think it would be classified as making money of Eo, but more of how your directed to our website, and eventually our website is not going to be primarily about our eoserv server, but I hope to set it up as a gaming and media hangout or hub so to speak!
