I challenge all of you that can make a game using any game library but must be in C/C++ to take this on. The top 3 winners will get a copy of Left 4 Dead 2 to keep. (You MUST have aSteamaccount)

The rules was spun randomly by Allegro's Speed Hack rule-o-matic and only displayed to you guys now.

I'll take part.

Sounds like a lot of work for a simple programming competition with a small prize.

Current work rate: £18/hour
Price of Left 4 Dead 2: £7.49

I'd have to complete writing this game in under 25mins to make it worth it. XD

Yeah, I know it's "just for fun" but the spec you gave doesn't look that fun to write. If it looked fun to write then I'd enter the competition even for no prize at all but it just doesn't appeal to me.

like he said "If this competition is too hard and people here cannot get most of the game requirements done by the time this competition ends I will end up doing an artist one instead since I know thereare plenty of good artists here. The problem with that is I wouldn't be able to know if they stole it from someone else :P"

Great idea, but maybe lowering the requirements would make this competition more attractive.

Also, I don't think there's enough programming talent in this forums community to fulfill the minimum quota of entries.

Okay, Since people are saying the rules are pretty hard for just winning Left 4 Dead 2 I shall write my own requirements. Will be really simple to make a game with the new rules. I'll edit this when the rules are updated.

We need at least 5 entries else there wouldn't be any judging.

Edit: Rules updated and now seem really easy to accommodate all level programmers here :D
