ya im not going to be like hey lets  use that eoserv or vodka thats junk i mean come on like what was said before its 2-d how can you guys not make that run good i make 3-d run fine so you must be doing something wrong lol real old school i must say its not like ok the game is done thats itfor that a game never ends it can be redone what are you guys thinking, your thoughts on this is not good and like i said i am willing to prove this all wrong i have money and time on my hands this is what i do for a living for fun i spend money on what i love to do im sry if you guys are young andlike to party i do it to but i party on my computer and do work for games so my party for this game has just started and i did not say she was not good but she is old school im new school sausage owns her so we leave it at that he much better programmer than she ever thought to be i used his work and hers and you cant compare the two he is her master thats for sure! 

So your proposal is, remake EO with 3d graphics? o_o

Wouldn't it be better to just break away and make a whole new game then? I mean, it's not like you can reuse arvid's 2D isometric pixel art, you'd have to start from scratch anyway. xD

to be honest it costs no money to explore possibilities and contact people asking if it could be done and if it can be put onto facebook i believe there is a real possibiliy for success. look at the types of games that are on facebook at the moment they are all 2d pieces of crap just like endless so apparently there is a market for it and i believe given the games on facebook if it made it on it would be very popular with a good chance at making money selling items exp etc its what all fb games do.

Ideed, I say go for it. Might even make Vult and Arvid some real MONEY NOW. We are not at a time where we want to limit the chances of moving forward, push forward don't hold them back. Give him advice on what he needs to do to move towards on his goal.

When it comes to startups, I've done this a few times. At this point in time I have $8,000 in untapped startup capital. That is, money I actually have that I could use to start up any venture I like. If I spend $500 on the hosted server out of that $8,000 pool, it's not a massive deal. However out of that $8,000, I haven't touched a cent of it. Not just because the interest it's accumulating increases with every month I refrain from making a withdrawal either.

The MMORPG market is one that's becoming increasingly saturated. All of the larger developers of MMORPGs entered the market with the right product at the right time. Blizzard Entertainment had the backing of the popular WarCraft franchise to propel their World of Warcraft series to success. Facebook developers like Zynga were one of the early adopters of the Facebook application platform and rode the expansion of Facebook to success.

What i'm saying is... if you're investing in a game in any market, you need to give the people something they want. Chances are they won't know what they want either, so it will be up to you to come up with the next big thing. 3D graphics, big advertisements and player incentives aren't enough to draw in the crowds anymore. You have to give them something new. For 5 years I was a radio presenter and we used Facebook as our communications medium. Of the 800 million users, we were getting around 4 visits a week. It was only once we held a station promotion that number shot up to 50+. We gave the audience something, and they responded.

I don't know how much money you plan to invest into this, but I would sit down and devise your plan of action before spending a single cent. I'm still planning very carefully what my next move will be, until then the money stays untouched.
