Hey guys my homecoming is coming up and my date told me that she is going to be wearing a dark purple dress:

for the dance and I was wondering how I could match her without wearing purple? lol I wanted to wear suspenders since all the guys was planning to wear one for the group. :P I need to know what color dress shirt/tie i should wear with a black sports jacket and pants. My friend told me i should wear a dark navy shirt with a white tie. Your opinions? :D
