I have a Ipod I love it... but if giving the chance I would of went for the Ipad... the Iphone is cool but if you pay your own phone bill it gets spendy.

With the Ipad you can use skype an such like the ipod put a few bucks on it an call house/cell phones from skype! ;)

Also the ipad can work with 3g so internet any where pretty much!

So I'd say get the Ipad unless some one else is paying your phone bill then get the iphone lol.

In my opinion, Iphone would be best. It's better then all of those apple products that you just listed, and plus it's better then Ipad because you have internet on your Iphone already so..

IPHONE (WHITE COLOURED) FTW!

I went and bought a brand new iPhone 4S in black about two weeks ago. It's a very nice phone, the screen quality is excellent and the camera is stunning. The screen is much smaller than an iPad obviously, so it depends what you would prefer, a mobile device that fits in your bag or a mobile device that fits in your pocket.

I'd say Iphone because it's portable, has internet, games, and you can call and text on it....and you can get it in white! :)

Depends. iphone u have a bunch of features like apps, and crap, and u can call people. ipod plays music, nothin else. ipod touch has everything the iphone does, but no phone for calling. ipad is basicly a huge ipod touch, and same, no calling.

There are actually a few apps that let you call lan an wireless lines if you put money on them they work like skype, needless to say skype works on the iOS too. Only problem is you would have to have net to use it as a phone, so you would need to invest in 3g net.

Specification Highlights across iPod/iPad models

The iPod/iPad range have very similar functionality, but vary significantly in their specifications. A couple of things I need to clarify first:

- The 326ppi "Retina" Display basically means that individual pixels are indistinguishable by the human eye, so text, images and other visual elements look incredibly sharp, clear and precise.

- In-Plane Switching (IPS) is a newer LCD technology that improves viewing angles of the display, resulting in a much higher quality image. Twisted Nematic (TN) panels have a much lower viewing angle and tend to wash out or distort colours when viewed at a far angle. Both are perfectly fine to use for an mobile device, but the devices with IPS displays will look better.

- The iPhone is the only device with Apple's new 8 Megapixel f/2.4 Wide Aperture Lens Camera, meaning it can shoot 1080p video with digital image stabilisation (helps to fix shaky or jumping video), can take much clearer and brighter images and has the ability to shoot images in low-light to an extent.

- All models come in varying capacities, see http://www.apple.com for specs.

- Cheaper iPhones may come with a carrier subsidy, meaning to get them at a relatively cheap price you need to sign up for a contract with a phone company. Check with the retailer you buy the iPhone from before if this will be a problem for you.

I take my iPad2 around college with me? It's a lot more portable than a laptop and a lot more lightweight and still has the functionality of a laptop :') All in all; A win :)

Post #115570 Re: What Should I Get?

I just got the Asus EEE Pad Transformer. Thanks to Sordie who kindly posted a link to it somewhere. It's fantastic. Blows the iPad out of the water in every area for half the price. The only thing its lacking in comparison is a good camera (only 5mp back / 1mp front) but it makes up for it with video editing software and many more camera features. I didn't buy it for a nice camera anyways, it'll skype and that's all that matters. The power of this thing is incredible. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention you can buy a keyboard/touchpad attachment that turns it into a netbook and gives it USB ports.

tl;dr. iPads are a waste of money. I would get something non-apple in the mobile area, and I'm speaking that from experience (I'm an iPhone 4 owner so not a fan of iOS). I think Zunes do a better job of managing music than iPods as well - but they aren't making them anymore so that argument is totally irrelevant.
