I got a : It has 58 mb of ram, and is on windows 1.

An IBM ThinkPad! Nice machines. However that doesn't look like Windows 1... I'd say that's Windows XP. This, on the other hand, is Windows 1:

My NES crapped out on me and I had to replace the 72-pin connector that interfaces with the cartridges, but now its been working fine! I've been collecting old NES games over the past couple of months and they're kind of a refreshing experience from games made in the past few years.

  • Super Mario 1,2,3
  • Duck Hunt (I even have the gun. It's fantastic.)
  • Metroid
  • Donkey Kong
  • Ice Climber
  • Mega Man III
  • Tetris
  • Bible Adventures (Relevant Video)
  • Legend of Zelda
  • Adventures of Link
  • Contra
  • Castlevania
  • Metal Gear
  • Dr. Mario
I've been trying to build up my N64 games collection too since I never had one as a kid. I have Zelda OOT/Star Fox/Mario Kart and I managed to get a special Pikachu edition console+controller from ebay for relatively cheap. It was worth it.

I'm too lazy to take a picture but I will if anyone actually cares.

Out of interest, how may people here have built their own computer?

PS. I don't mean buy off the shelf PC components and slot them together. How many people have actually built their own computer from scratch. Does anyone here even know about the great Z80 - 6800 battle? =P

I personally haven't but I helped one of my closest friends pick the components and build his computer because well.. He had £600 to burn so it seemed the most productive thing to spend £600 on :')

I'm going to take a guess and say nobody here has, with the exception being yourself and myself to a limited extent (when I picked out the individual circuit components to rebuild the Macintosh 512Ke in the first post, however ultimately at the end of it I hadn't built my own computer per-se, it was still a Macintosh).

For what it's worth, I still love the Motorola 68000.

I know what a Z80 is. I used to think that "building a computer" meant soldering the components onto a PCB and assembling. Doesn't the Z80 power GameBoys and TI Graphing calculators? And probably tons of other stuff too those are the two I know of.
