Re: Is Ipv4 or Ipv6 needed to make a private server
Currently the waters have not been tested with IPv6, however both EOSERV and the EO client should work via tunnel. For purposes of compatibility with EOSERV, use the IPv4 format as the official build of EOSERV does not support saving this number of characters required by IPv6 to the database, as well as other formatting changes that might be required (bans, WebCP, etc...).

So without Ipv4 i would not be able to host a private server right?
Or is there a way you can host without Ipv4?

We pretty much explained it above. Why the hell do you ask such a question at all? You can visit https://eoserv.net/, right? That means you have IPv4. If you're considering buying a server which was advertised as one that has IPv6, then it most likely has both protocols. That means you would be able
to visit Google.com from 128-bit IP address, yay! (because IPv6 is still barely used and it's just useless for an average Internet user).
