Do not get the processor Divine mentioned, get an i5 2500k (can overclock to 4.5+), or just an i5 2500 (does not overclock), they are the best for gaming, assuming that is what you want to do the most.  Built myself a computer a few months ago and the thing is a beast with my setup.

Sandy bridge aren't used for most high-performance gaming rigs for a reason, they have problems, especially with the p67/h67 motherboards. Overclocking isn't going to help him what so ever, it will cripple his computer over time. He wants this to last two years, and a OC'd sandy bridge will NOTlast you 2 years...

Here's a quote directly from intel, just to show you how an i7 is a better choice:

"With the advent of next-generation games, PC gaming is more immersive than ever. The latest games take advantage of multi-threaded programming, allowing for more realistic graphics, physics, and artificial intelligence (AI). But you'll need more than just a good graphics card with high GPU output to fully experience all these effects. Underlying the visual realism and advanced AI scripts are thousands of high-speed calculations that your CPU must process.

Fortunately, the Intel Core i7 processor is specifically designed to handle these calculations. Using multi-thread architecture, it has the ability to process thousands of graphical characteristics at once, resulting in a smooth and lag-free experience. Intel worked closely with CryTek -- the developers of the advanced game engine behind such games as Crysis and Far Cry -- to guarantee that gamers have an immersive and lifelike experience."

I really do believe you have no idea what you're talking about.  Anyways, not gonna argue.  Get an i5 or and i7 (if you're a heavy photoshop user).

Randomly googling and pasting the first thing you find doesn't do anything.  Everyone knows an i5 is much better for gaming.

I don't think you realize the i5 2500k or the i7 2600k isn't on that graph.

Here:

And that is just the start.

EDIT: and that's not overclocked :P
