Added Overlay 2 so rendering is nearly 100% now :D

All that's left to do is render the first frame in animated walls that are fire, Christmas tree ect.

Well you can now run it from the command line or just run it and it will show you a file dialog where you can choose a map file. I should fix the errors so that it goes into an error log though because the console closes when an error was found meaning you don't see the error unless using"cmd"


Check it out :D No DLL's needed :D

one small suggestion.. maybe have it use the map number in the outputted file name? ex: map1004.png



edit to add:

it seems to be cropping the corners on smaller maps

I can add that for you and yes the map only goes to the map ground size. Any walls or objects higher than tile 0x0 will end up not drawn. Sausage has told me to add it to the top, left and right so that it don't crop it off. It shall be done on the next release but I am off out at the moment so cannot add it in.

a "batch convert" option would rock as well ie: select multiple files, specify a range, or convert all in the directory....

I shall be adding that and it was implemented with the file dialog but I got strange results on rendering multiple maps. It's summets to do with my class so I shall just add in another map loading function XD

Desmond, this may have some potential if given a bit more work. I have a few thoughts in mind that should be optional:

NPC gfx
Chest Item (side bar preview)
Optional Fake wall outline(for showing hidden paths)

All of these should be rendered optionally. This could turn out to be a very nice map generator/guide.

What is the point of this? Just curious. Is it so you can send someone a preview of your map without giving the EMF file?

Yea, I was speaking to my mum about rendering tile specs ect as she gets stuck in castle maze a lot. I was thinking "-S" to enable the spec drawing. The rest I am truly unsure but it is open source so it can be added without any problems. What I shall do is every time I release a new Binary version, I also update the source .zip file so that it is always up to date with the working copy.


And it's a tool to render maps that have been made by mapper to make it easier for them to show their work without making loads of screenshots and sticking them together using paint XD.


I shall add the option to add tile specs now and maybe a config file for the GUI users. For now I shall add it as a command line argument.

its a big help in planning large, multi-area, maps such as HOP from main or greenfields on eoR

lol yea but I've done it now with EOMap ones XD. Cheers anywways. Just added all 36 to specs.egf


Edit: Updated with tile specs. I am still having issues with multiple maps too see what I mean type the following

-S -MI maps/00001.emf test.png -MI maps/00001.emf test2.png

and look at test2.png XD.

That command should work perfectly as that map is included and made by myself.


Note: I have updated the source to the latest release :D
